Music Biography
Tom is a classically trained Jazz musician, having started playing the piano at the age of 6. Achieving ABRSM Grade 8 standard in 2012, Tom went on to attend University of Hull, studying Jazz and Popular Music between September 2012 and July 2015.
During his studies, Tom successfully auditioned for numerous music projects, including Hull University Big Band Society, The Jazz Aesthetic (under Dr. Peter Elsdon). He also studied under Grammy Award winning pianist Bill Laurance, and himself won two awards: The Sir Thomas Beecham Music Scholarship in March 2013, and Mike Somerton Award for Jazz Performance in July 2015.
Tom graduated with a First-Class Honours in July 2015, launching his career as a freelance musician for hire.
